Dance Central 3, proves to be the #1 selling dance franchise when it picked up the most nods for 2 categories it was nominated in the Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2012. These awards give recognition to the games that will “shape the future of interactive entertainment”.
This year’s E3 was held June 5-7, 2012 and games were demonstrated via a hands-on playable form in the E3 Expo in Los Angeles, California. The winners were chosen by individual judges representing 35 major North American media outlets that cover video games and spans various genres and aspects in the video game industry.
Dance Central 3, a music video game developed and published by Harmonix Music Systems and co-developed by Backbone Entertainment won Best Social/Casual Game and Best Motion Simulation Game. It boasts the best animation not just in dancing games but in any video game, and used flawless graphics that worked perfectly with Kinect. The bits of original music used in the menus were excellent and has also contributed to its success. New to Dance Central 3 is the presence of a storyline and Crew Throwdown mode where two teams of up to four go head-to-head in a series of performances, dance battles & mini-games making it the best of the series to date.
